Hello all! I went to class this evening and I realised that I may have been practising this pose incorrectly for ages! :-S How do I position my feet? Both feet hip distance, parallel with a short step between them? (this is what I have been doing) Or heels in a straight line with a short distance between them and the back leg pointing to the top left hand corner of the mat? I am so confused about the positioning of the back foot/heel. Can anyone help me please? 🙂
Namaste!
Hi Becks
The idea is to have the heels parallel to the mirror to start. Then when you swivel to the side, you pivot on your heels to keep the heels in the same position. So your description of “heels in straight line” is correct. The back foot angles as you said (at 45 degrees).

You can see a couple of good photos of that in our gallery here:

Thank you both so much! I am off to class this evening so at least I will set this posture up correctly before I begin to enter.
Fantastic work on this forum guys – it really is a fantastic resource for everyone. I am so glad I stumbled across it! 🙂
