Originally Yoga Teacher Training certificate through Kripalu Center, 1986. Been teaching and practicing regularly, mostly in rural western KY. I've studied with senior Iyengar and Anusara teachers. Between 2001-04 I drove 50+ miles several times a week to take a Bikram's class. It was a profound experience of opening, endurance and bone restructuring. I grew to crave the heat and intense humidity and could feel my innards cleansing. Never felt better. In spite of these benefits, I questioned the way many poses were presented. I did ask the teacher a few things in the early days, but i realized that she was just following the program. She was very new to yoga, only having experienced Bikrams recently. Still, she was hugely inspiring and beautiful too! so I just made adjustments quietly and secretly. Happy to find this site in order to connect with others who have wanted to fine tune their Bikrams experience. Thank you, Gabrielle.
