I was born long ago in the industrial town of Paterson, New Jersey to two dear, loving, ever-reliable parents; an only child. I couldn't stop dancing and moving and laughing throughout my chlildhood. We always had a dog, bird, hamster and turtle... I went through high school as a cheerleader and quasi-party-girl which continued throughout my adult life... the party part that is. I stumbled into Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class in 1978 (and am in the Red book edition throughout ..in the candid shots.) I went to yoga as an aspiring dancer and actress mostly to be seen and of course be discovered and to become a big movie goddess... instead I discovered myself more and more deeply in relation to the ebb and flow of my practice. I explored all yoga forms and spent years studying under many teachers in Iyengar, with Alan Finger, Mary Dunn, Paul Grilley, Steve Ross, and many many master classes around the country. There ain't nothin like BIkram Yoga..I am certified to teach both Bikram and Vinyasa Flow and enjoy the melding of the two in my body. My first love though is BIkram, the reliability, the clarity and the power of it . I have traveled and taught on many continents and plan to do more of it when my son graduates high school. I am Senor teacher at Inner Fire Yoga and Wellness Center in Madison, Wisconsin..back full circle from were I attended college and got a Bachelors Degree in Movement Therapy in 1974. Life is grand and mysterious and the mat is always there to guide me through. namaste
