    I just got into hot yoga for a week and a half went 8 times and was really getting into it. I have come down with a massive head cold/fu and have not been able to practice the past few days. I’m bummed that I’ve lost the little gains I had made 🙁

    Well, ufatbasted, FWIW, I started 3 months ago, and I’m on my 3rd “massive head cold.” I don’t know if it’s seasonal/Eastern US cold weather related or if the hot yoga environment is kicking my immune system so I’m more vulnerable…I dunno…My rule of thumb is that every 3 days you miss costs you a level of training…For me, a level of training is a difference that is noticeable. 🙁 x3

    I started hot yoga a little over a year ago, and am now on my third round of going frequently and consistently. What I’ve noticed myself is that, while I might have lost some flexibility, my body still remembers what it’s capable of, and getting back to where I left off isn’t as hard as it was getting there at the onset of my practice. Besides, I’m determined. 🙂

    I suggest lots of liquids, tea, water and such.
    Proceed with caution when you’re back in there!
