Namaste,
I am planning to start hot yoga today!! I have recently started Hatha yoga which I love, but am keen to increase the number of classes I take a week. I am lucky enough to have a Bikram studio within two minutes walk of my flat (apartment!?) in London, so am considering doing one or two Hatha classes a week, and three or four Bikram classes. Is this too much? Am I going to be conflicted practising the two or are the schools compatible? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you!

Oh, you are extremely lucky to have a Bikram studio so close! Get thee over there!
Initial advice? Drink lots of water before (and after) your hot yoga class, don’t wipe the sweat and breathe only through your nose after the initial warm-up breathing. Remain calm at all times. Enjoy your class and report back!
I’m fortunate enough to be able to complement Bikram yoga 3 times per week with hatha yoga once per week – being in my mid 50’s this is ideal for me – As Bonmar said , make sure you are well hydrated and have plenty of electrolytes .Robf
