Hi
I hurt my lower back about 2 weeks ago, and although it generally feels ok, I get shooting nerve pain on the tip of my left hip bone and on the left waist. I am still going to yoga 4/5 times a week. I find if I pull on my heels my hip start to get that nerve pain right away so I’ve stopped. I also get the pain during “hands to feet” pose. After it gets aggravated it triggers easily from other poses.

Should I stay away from certain postures while it heals? Thanks for your hep!

Hi Shikhee

If your problem is linked to the heel pulling poses like this one and Hands to Feet, then perhaps we can examine those poses. Have you checked out the other threads to to with these poses. Start with Intense Stretching pose and the often recommended free video: Opening Up Your Hamstrings With Hot Yoga.

Come back and tell me if that seems to make sense and what if anything happens when you change your approach.

We can take it from there
