    I recently started going to Bikram Yoga( in my second week, have gone 7 of the last 10 days) and I have noticed extreme water retention in my body. I read on another thread that it will take me some time to acclimate to the heat, but I am so uncomfortable. I can’t fit into any of my jeans or put any of my rings on my fingers. My face also looks so swollen and other people have mentioned it to me as well, so I know it is definitely noticeable. I was wondering how long it takes for my body to get used to the heat. I want to add that I drink a lot of water during the day and hydrate with coconut water after class.

    I had a similar question because I just completed a 20-day challenge and felt similar.

    I think a big thing was I was not getting “good salt” and other minerals back into my body.

    I am sure Gabrielle will respond as well ;).

    Also could it be your diet?

    In the past, I craved salty snacks after class.

    I no longer really buy that stuff (once I start, I could eat the whole bag).

    I have noticed a significant difference.

    I also recently cut out a lot of my carb intake, as well, and it’s helped tremendously with stomach bloat.
