Lucky me, I found a Bikram yoga class being offered nearby, so I’ve decided to sign up tomorrow. 🙂 Do I need to take my own yoga mat and blocks?

Mat,water and TOWEL or two if you plan on showering afterwards. No blocks. Drink as much water as you can tonight and before class tomorrow if you’re not already sleeping. (Not sure what part of the Country you’re in) Eat lightly throughout the day and avoid eating anything heavy, carbs, heavy spice etc. minimum of 3 preferably 4-5 hours before class. Green Smoothies encouraged as pre-practice meal. In this case 1 – 2 hours pre practice, ok.

How exciting for you! Beginning your HOT YOGA journey.

    Have a great class.

Let us know “how you go”. 🙂

If you haven’t already done so, do yourself a favor and purchase the HOT YOGA MASTERCLASS ASAP! You’ll be light years ahead of those that have been practicing for years in a few months!

It went fairly well for my first time; thank you for asking! I was a bit sore yesterday but today I’m mostly back to normal. I cannot believe how much I sweated! I had to modify some of the movements but the teacher said my form looked really nice, so I’m proud of that. I’m going again tomorrow afternoon. 🙂

Excellent! Great feedback. The sweating is PROFUSE and PROFOUND!! The powers that be (Google) ? were guiding you by connecting you to this website before you even did your first class. That’s awesome. You went in with most of your questions answered up front which allowed you to relax more than the usual newbie. Great foresight on your part.

Yes, the sweating is definitely PROFUSE, ha ha!! I’m very glad I found this website before I went to class for the first time. Otherwise, I might not have had to courage to go the class at all! I always get nervous about trying new things for the first time, especially in a class setting. But like I said, the first class went great so I’m going again this evening. I’ll have to bring about twice as much water this time around!! 🙂

I sweat a LOT in hot yoga classes so I always make sure to take a towel, a lot of the towels studios have for rent are too short.

If you are interested, I started a project for custom print yoga towels. They are the super absorbent towels similar to Manduka’s, and I can print full color patterns, designs, and even your favorite photo! I think I might make one that says “one om at a time” or something like that.
Anyway you can take a look at some of the patterns I have so far at customyogitowels.com. Enjoy your hot yoga classes!
