Hey, I thought I would introduce myself, I’m Danielle, in Canberra, Australia. I started Bikram on the 7th January 2013 weighing 126.1 kgs on my 167cm frame AND last night completed my 10th class, I’ve lost 2.8 kgs and I can feel my body changing. Each class I find I can do something I couldn’t do the class before. Last night I managed to do the last 4 bikram sit ups, where as I couldn’t even get my body 10cm off the floor at each other attempt.

I’m still to get my eating under control and I plan on attempting the 30 day challenge that starts on the 31st of Janruay. I feel so much more positive in my life and stand a lot taller. This journey is pretty exciting!

Oh awesome thanks 🙂 I thought it could have something to do with that or that it’s the recommended number of times to attend a week 🙂

I don’t think your six-pack will disappear IF you keep up your other training. When Gabrielle finished her training in 2001, her six-pack was the envy of many guys (and seriously awesome!) – but this was 11 classes a week for 9 weeks – not the usual yoga student attendance. So it is possible, but not for most mere mortals who may only practice 3-5 times/week.

Robert… why was she attending 11 classes per week?

Being a newbie, I always assumed that laying down before it started was to ensure your body slowly got use to the temperature rise before beginning making the whole 90 minutes easier to bare
