in reply to: Sore throat #21800

This is very interesting subject because it was my day 2 with hot yoga today and I have pretty bad sore throat too! I went into Bikram before for for a bit but I’ve not experienced the same thing back then. This class is a hot yoga, i.e. it’s pretty active vinyasa at ~95F temp that last for 60 mins. Similar to Lilitamz, I used to have chronicle tonsillitis as a teen but not recently (I’m 30 yo now). So ‘squeezing out that bug’ sounds very close to how I feel about this whole thing.. I hope it’s a good thing, certainly but this is super odd.. Any idea why this might be happening and how to prevent it in the future?

P.S. Before starting hot yoga, I’ve been exercising regularly; mostly cardio and strength trainings.
