Hey everyone! I’m so excited to have found this website. I recently started my first 30 day challenge. My history- danced for 20 years, had 2 babies and moved to a city where they don’t offer a whole lot of dance for adults so moved on to yoga, practiced yoga on and off for 8 years as well as every extreme at home workout program offered (i.e. P90X, Turbofire, Insanity, Zumba, etc), now decided to get serious and do a 30 day. I became sort of manic-ish about day 10. Woke up at 5am totally restless, couldn’t wait to get out of bed. Did tons of creative stuff and cleaning and cooking and baking and never sat down even until 9pm. I’m usually really active and don’t sit down much but this was a whole new extreme. My husband and parents even commented that this was a new level of getting stuff done for me. Had a fire like feeling in my belly the whole time which was really enhanced with camel pose. Got a bit freaked out and decided to back off to every other day. What do you all think? Anyone else experience this??

    Hi Nancy

Thanks and welcome to the forum! There are so many body and mind responses to yoga (any type). What I would be interested to know is if, after now 3 weeks since posting (oops, I plead busy) that same response has been sustained. Are you still buzzing around? 😉

I have had students who walk away from classes invigorated in a peaceful way, calmly and efficiently approaching everything they do in that fashion. Other times even the same students will be wiped out.

It changes. I would love to know how it is for you.

    Namaste
    Gabrielle 🙂
