There are some exercises like pranayam and surya namaskaram that you may be able to do. If you don’t have any stitches after giving birth, and you’re comfortable doing mild exercises, it should not be a problem.

It could be heat exhaustion or it could be performing yoga at home as part of practice in order to improve your yoga postures. Doing too much of yoga can also lead to fatigue and exhaustion. I suggest that you try to calm your mind and body and find time to relax and taking rest outside yoga classes.

You must perform all the meditative forms of asana at home or outside the classes. I have heard many people coming out of panic attacks and anxiety after they tried Pranayam. You must try to practice as much as you can on controlling your breathing. I didn’t know that breathing properly alone can lead to better concentration and focus.

While weight lifting, it’s often that many try to exceed their capacity and so the saying came of no pain no gain. But then if they do not take rest then the muscles won’t get enough time to heal and build up. Our body strives to survive in any condition, that’s why our body adapts to any exercise form done continuously. Thus we have circuit training or different asana in different classes.

The best way to relax your mind is to perform Pranayam. But I am not in favor of performing Yoga in classes only; I believe that yoga in any environment is beneficial. What Bikram teaches is basically a modification to yoga with heat to relive pain and injury, which is true. But there is Yoga which has been practiced for 1000 years in India and they have been performing in any form of environment.

I guess I know what you are talking about. When the class instructor mentions to perform Shav asana or any form of such asana which requires meditation. You have to let loose of all the thoughts in your mind and focus only on your breathing. It requires a lot of practice, but when you do achieve focus, you will feel a state of relaxed and calm mind.
