Namaste,
I have a Hot Yoga studio, with infra red radiant heaters, and have recently had some questions regarding safety on the skin, regarding sun burn.
Hi hotyogadurban
I think you will find with a quick Google search to confirm that an infra red device is not going to emit ultra violet rays. It’s a different part of the spectrum!
Have you told or read that people get sunburn?
Namaste
Gabrielle 🙂
I agree with Gabrielle!
Human exposure to infrared heat provides little risk. Infrared heat consists of electromagnetic waves that are just below the visible spectrum. They have lower energy than both ultraviolet (UV) rays and light rays and are emitted by virtually all objects that give off heat.
